BBQ Chicken Thighs on a Pellet Grill

  1. BBQ Chicken Thighs

What all you will need:

  • Chicken thighs with skin
  • A bottle of chicken seasoning
  • Salt and ground black pepper

How to prepare:

  1. Start your grill with the smoke on with the lid on until it establishes fire. Set the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and preheat with the lid now closed.
  2. While the grill is on, cut off the excess fat and skin from the chicken thighs.
  3. Generously season with salt, pepper, and your preferred chicken seasoning.
  4. Place the chicken thighs on the grates and cook for about 35 minutes.
  5. Stop cooking once the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Make sure there is enough fat so that the chicken is moist and tender.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grates and let it rest for about 5 minutes before consumption.

2. Smoked Chicken Thighs

What you will need:

  • Chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp black pepper

How to cook:

  1. Light your grill and wait for it to reach a temperature of 200 degrees.
  2. Mix together paprika, chili powder, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Generously rub olive oil to the chicken thighs and coat them properly.
  4. Now cover the chicken thighs with the seasoning made above by combining all the dry substances.

  6. Add wood chips every hour to make sure that they smoke the chicken thighs to perfection.
  7. Smoke the meat for about 2 hours each side and flip so that they cook evenly both sides.
  8. Once the thighs are cooked and moist, take them off the smoker and serve hot!

3. Garlic Honey Chicken Thighs

What all you will need:

  • Large chicken thighs
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp red pepper/chili flakes
  • Fresh minced garlic
  • A cup of orange blossom honey or any honey of your preference
  • 1 spoon of any hot sauce of your choice
  • 1 tsp white pepper

How to cook:

  1. Add the melted butter, chili flakes, minced garlic, honey, hot sauce and white pepper in a saucepan and mix well. This will be our honey glaze!
  2. Now glaze the chicken thighs with the mixture created above and glaze it generously.
  3. Preheat the griller to375 degrees.
  4. Let them sit in the smoke and flip if required.
  5. Cook it for 30 minutes and brush it with more glaze in the last 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let them cook till the internal temperature reaches 190 degrees.
  7. Put it off the grill and let it sit for another 10 minutes.
  8. Serve it with a side of broccoli salad or rice.
